So, life happened. A lot. I went to NYC in May for a short trip. I adore friends that want to travel. It’s so nice to have friends that are interested in seeing the world and will follow through! Unfortunately it rained the day I was leaving and I wasn’t able to do too much. Then all flights were delayed. I finally got on a plane to go to Boston around 9PM and stayed overnight. Took another plane from Boston around 5AM to Charlotte, NC then to Atlanta. It was a long day with little sleep. Here are pics from my trip.

Check out this post: My boobs don’t need your husband to see them: or, you probably think this pic is about you. The author of the original post is just an idiot. An insecure idiot. And their are other idiot women that agree with her. Wow. No words.
Along those same lines, I found this post, 27 times porn lied to us about sex in the real world, rather funny.
SO glad I found this post, Dear Men: This Is Why Women Have Every Right To Be Disgusted With Us, because yessssss, this is the shit women deal with!!!
I saw this on Lauren’s blog and thought I’d do it as well.

There are so many reasons I want to travel. To see the world, to have new experiences, to feel lost and exhilarated all at the same time, to see beautiful things God created, etc. Lately I have really been dying to travel. I am holding this blog responsible.
She starts out wanting much more out of life (sounds eerily familiar to me..), decides to sell all of her stuff and just GO!
You should visit her blog for the pictures alone if you don’t want to read..
Read this to find out why traveling long term is not a waste of potential.
This post really hit home for me. Why being alone is what you really need.

Watch how dogs drink water. Pretty amazing and I never realized this is how they drink!

Usually I’m not one for making resolutions because I never stick to them. This year I decided to give it another go.. Here is my list.
1. Floss more (I’m sure my dentist will be happy with this one)
2. Save more money
3. Go out of the U.S. on vacation
Exercise regularly (and get this ass)
Complete tattoo removal
Sounds fairly easy, no? I have little reminders set up in my phone to help me so that I succeed! We are only a few days in but so far, so good!

Fellow blogger and ATLian Whitney recently went on a life changing trip to Africa. She read the book Love Does by Bob Goff and felt an urgency to do something with his foundation, Restore International.
I have enjoyed reading about her time in Africa and how it changed her. So inspiring…
Here are the links, they speak for themselves..

When I was little I was equal parts tomboy and girly girl. Over the years I seemed to have gottent rid of the tomboy part of myself. I played softball one year in middle school and I hated it. I suppose I’ve just never found anything that has kept me interested. Except gymnastics, but the whole doing a flip in the air and landing on a bar and not killing yourself really terrifies me.
As I’m nearing 30, it has become more evident that this tiny petite body I’ve always had won’t stay long if I don’t work at it. Overall I eat pretty healthy. I love all things cake and cupcakes, but in moderation. Not that I’ve noticed gravity taking place, but I want to be lean and tone. Jiggles aren’t cute. There’s no other way to say it. I’ve always been the girl that thought..
In order to expand my horizons, my BFF decided we needed to participate in C25K. I actually agreed to do it! I figured that it would be fun to do little 5Ks in other cities. That way not only are we being all healthy and stuff, we get to travel and see different cities. It’s a win win, right?
We decided a few weeks ago to actually go through with it and last night was our first night preparing. It honestly wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be. At times I could feel my calves getting sore, but I wasn’t dying. I was pretty happy when it was over though. I’m a little sore today, but I was also sore from dancing over the weekend. Tonight is night 2. It’s a little scary to think that I can actually do a 5K.
My first walk/run is this weekend. My coworker’s wife asked us all to participate in an event for Lekotek. It’s a walk/run for 4 miles, so it shouldn’t be too hard. Wish me luck!

I saw this question on Ashley’s blog and I thought I would post on this subject also!
I think you all know who Luke Bryan is..
Buster Posey is the first baseman for San Fran Giants. He’s pretty good. Prior to the 2013 spring training season, Posey signed a one-year, $8 million contract with the Giants, followed on March 29 by an eight-year extension worth $167 million, said by the Giants to be the most lucrative in franchise history. The contract wiped out three arbitration years for Posey, locked in his services and value through the 2021 season and provided the club with an option for 2022. The agreement was the second largest in major league history for a catcher, exceeded only by that of Joe Mauer in 2010 with the Minnesota Twins.
I think most of you also know who Phillip Phillips is. He won American Idol’s 11th season. How much of an honor is this?! When asked about Phillips’ imitation of his style, Dave Matthews said: “More power to him, I don’t mind”, and added “He should kick my ass, [then] maybe I can retire and he can take over my band.”
What’s your place? What’s something interesting about your hometown?

Have you heard of Uber? It’s an on-demand private driver. I personally am usually sketched out by the taxi drivers in Atlanta. Half of the time their credit card machine isn’t working, or either they don’t want you to use it. I’ve had this happen to me on more than one occasion.
With Uber, you can download the app and you link it to your credit card so there never has to be any cash exchanged. I believe the 20% tip is also factored in. You can select if you want a town car or a SUV to pick you up. They dispatch the driver that is the closest to you to pick you up so that the waiting period is short. When you are scheduling the driver, you can actually see how many cars or SUVs are near you. They are a 24/7 service which is great! They are also available in several cities.
A lot of times there are credits you can get if you have an offer code, so that’s like free cash! Every new rider will get you $10 in points. Enter the referral code below if you download the ap.

It’s safe to say that the vacation bug has officially hit me. Only, the vacation I’m planning isn’t until October. What can I say, I like to know details. See, it’s
kind of a big deal. It will be my 30th birthday! My bestie’s birthday is the day before mine so we are going on vacation together. Since I’m all about knocking things off my bucket list, we haven’t really decided on where to go yet. There are so many things to factor in! Do we want to rent a place, or stay in a hotel? How many people are going with us? Right now, we are thinking about 3 possible vaction locations..
Virgin Islands – St. Croix
or go on a cruise
Honestly, you can pretty much put me in sand and water and I’ll be happy! I’m a little nervous about the cruise idea – they haven’t had a good rep the last couple of years. I’m hoping we can take advantage of a free place in Mexico. Either way, I’m so excited!!
